We started because we saw how many people were being overcharged late at night by anonymous emergency services. A few hundred euros for five minutes of work, no invoice, no warranty, and nobody reachable the next day. It can be fairer, more local, with attention for the person behind the door.
Today we drive throughout Amsterdam and the immediate area. We know the neighbourhoods, the old front doors in Amsterdam-Noord, the modern window frames in IJburg, the apartments along the Loosduinseweg. With us you always get the same familiar faces, and you notice that in every contact.

Our story, how we started
It started small. One of us worked as a technician for a large national organisation, and saw the same patterns day in, day out: a stressed customer on the phone, no fixed price, a colleague who came from a completely different city and could barely pronounce the street name correctly. The bills piled up to absurd amounts, and complaints disappeared into a call centre. We thought: this can be different. Fairer, more personal, and simply skilled.
We have now been working as independent locksmiths in Amsterdam for more than ten years. We don't have an office with a receptionist. We do have a well-equipped work van, experience with every lock brand in the Netherlands, and a phone that we always answer ourselves, no hold music, no menu options.
We work mainly on word of mouth. Many of our customers are recommended by neighbours, family or colleagues. That is the finest compliment, and at the same time our greatest responsibility to deliver the same quality time and again.

Twelve years ago we stood on the doorstep of a lady in Oud-Zuid, half past eleven at night. Key broken off in the lock. Our employer at the time, a large national call centre, had promised her 95 euros in call-out costs. At the door that became 380 euros, because 'the lock turned out to be more complex than expected'. That lady cried with shame when she paid. That's when we decided: we're going to do this differently.
Since then we've been a local business with three permanent technicians who all live within fifteen kilometres of Amsterdam. We know the neighbourhoods, the old front doors of Amsterdam-Noord, the modern plastic window frames in IJburg, the apartment blocks along the Loosduinseweg. We greet the same supermarket cashier as you do.
Our way of working is built on one principle: the price you hear on the phone is the price you hear at the door. No 'oh, this is an exception', no 'there's an extra mechanism I couldn't see'. If we can't estimate something in advance, we say so. If it turns out differently, we call you first, and you decide.
We deliberately work with a short list of preferred brands: Nemef, Lips, KFV, AXA, M&C, Mauer, S2 and ABUS. Not because we don't know other brands, but because we know these eight inside out. A technician who knows all 47 cylinder brands a little bit knows all of them mediocrely. We prefer depth over breadth.
We are affiliated with the Police Safe Living label, work according to SKG guidelines and NEN 5089, and have a fixed partnership with three home contents insurers who accept our invoices one-to-one. Not because we get anything in return, but because it saves you time and hassle.
What motivates us most is the returning customer. The neighbour who says: 'Call those guys, they're honest.' The homeowners' association board member who says: 'Just do it the way you always do.' The contractor who refers us to his clients because he knows we won't damage his name. We didn't buy that network with advertising, we earned it through consistent behaviour.
And that is, honestly, our whole story. No franchise, no investors, no growth strategy. Just three men, one van, and a phone number that's always answered. Sometimes by one of us, sometimes by our partner or an older child who passes the message on properly. But never by a call centre in Bulgaria. That's what we stand for.

Wij zijn een lokaal familiebedrijf met wortels in de regio Rijnmond. Al jaren werken we vanuit Amsterdam voor particulieren, VvE's, bedrijven en woningcorporaties in de hele regio. Wat begon als een klein bedrijf met één bus en één monteur is uitgegroeid tot een team van vakmensen dat dagelijks tientallen klussen oppakt, van spoedopeningen tot complete beveiligingsplannen. Onze grootste reclamebron is en blijft mond-tot-mondreclame, en dat zegt iets over hoe we werken.
Onze monteurs zijn opgeleide slotenmakers met certificering volgens de geldende normen en jarenlange ervaring in alle aspecten van mechanische beveiliging. Ze volgen jaarlijks bijscholing over nieuwe slottypes, nieuwe inbraaktechnieken en nieuwe preventiemethoden. Daarnaast hebben ze allemaal een Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag, want u laat ze niet voor niets binnen in uw huis of bedrijf.
We zijn ingeschreven bij de Kamer van Koophandel in Amsterdam, aangesloten bij de relevante brancheorganisaties en werken volgens de richtlijnen van het Politiekeurmerk Veilig Wonen. Onze inboedel- en aansprakelijkheidsverzekering dekt alle reguliere werkzaamheden tot ruime bedragen. Op alle materialen geven we de fabrieksgarantie door, op het montagewerk twee jaar, op cilinders standaard tien jaar.
Onze waarden in de praktijk
Eerlijkheid voor alles. Als een opening niet nodig is omdat u zelf binnen kunt komen via een raam aan de achterzijde, dan zeggen we dat. Als uw bestaande cilinder prima is en alleen schoongemaakt en gesmeerd hoeft te worden, dan doen we dat voor een paar tientjes en gaan we weer. Als u advies vraagt over een upgrade die in uw situatie minimaal effect heeft, dan zeggen we dat ook. Verkoopdruk is geen onderdeel van onze service.
Vakmanschap als basis. Snel werken is mooi, maar goed werken is belangrijker. We nemen de tijd om elke klus correct af te ronden, ook al duurt dat iets langer dan een snelle boor-en-vervang aanpak. Een slot dat goed afgesteld is, draait tien jaar zonder problemen. Een slot dat haastig erin gezet is, geeft binnen twee jaar problemen die u opnieuw geld kosten. Wij kiezen voor het eerste.
Aanwezigheid in de regio. Wij zijn geen landelijk callcenter dat het werk uitbesteedt aan onbekende onderaannemers. Wij zijn lokaal, kennen de wijken, kennen de typische sloten, kennen veel klanten persoonlijk. Dat brengt verantwoordelijkheid met zich mee: als wij vandaag een fout maken, weet morgen de halve buurt het. Die druk houdt ons scherp en is uiteindelijk de beste garantie voor goede service.
