This page lists our starting prices, openly and honestly. On the phone we give the same indication, never a non-committal teaser price. The exact price is determined once the technician has seen the lock, and we only start working after your approval.
How we handle prices. Over the phone we can never give a rock-hard price, that would be unfair since we haven't seen your lock yet. We do give the same starting indication as shown here. At the door, the technician inspects the hardware, gives a fixed price and waits for your approval before a single screw is turned.

When could extra costs occur?
- When using premium or specific brand cylinders at your request.
- For special multi-point locks that we first need to order.
- For call-outs outside the municipality of Amsterdam (small mileage fee, known in advance).
- For extensive damage where woodwork or the frame also needs repair.
- For extra additional locks or security hardware you optionally choose to have installed.
Important: we always communicate any such additional costs in advance, before we start. You decide for yourself whether you agree. If you're faced with unexpected damage during the work, we stop first and call you, nothing beyond what was agreed in advance without your approval.
Payment options
You can pay us by card on location or in cash. We send a proper invoice immediately, on paper or by email, which you can submit directly to your home contents insurer.

Honest advice: does your lock work? Then we keep it. Replacing isn't a business model, it's a solution to a real problem.
Honest prices call for honest explanation. A door opening costs us on average 35 to 50 minutes of labor, plus travel, plus depreciation on specialized tools that cost between 600 and 1,500 euros each. Our starting price of 89 euros fairly covers that cost price, without needing to secretly compensate anywhere.
A cylinder replacement starts at 145 euros because a decent SKG*** cylinder with anti-drill protection costs between 45 and 75 euros to purchase, and the installation must be carefully measured to your door thickness. Cheaper cylinders exist, but we don't install them, a budget cylinder from the hardware store offers no drill protection and wears out within three to five years.
A multi-point lock starting at 245 euros may seem like a lot, but consider: the mechanism contains seven to twelve moving parts, three to five locking points, and must fit exactly into the existing frame. We work with Nemef, Lips, KFV, S2 and AXA, brands that last ten years or longer without issues.
A security package starting at 395 euros is essentially an investment that pays for itself within a single prevented burglary attempt. The average damage amount for a home burglary in the Netherlands is around 3,800 euros in contents, plus 800 to 1,200 euros in door repairs. An SKG*** upgrade statistically pays for itself within eight years, and that's not even counting the sense of safety.
Finally, our key service starts at 12.50 euros for a standard key and goes up to about 35 euros for a secured key on a card. That extra cost isn't margin but purchase price, secured keys are copyright-protected and only available from the manufacturer, at fixed rates.
We publish our prices because hidden prices breed distrust. We want you to be able to compare our numbers with the competition's, and decide for yourself whether our quality justifies the difference. In our experience, the answer is almost always: yes.

Eerlijke prijzen, vooraf duidelijk
Wij geloven dat een slotenmaker u niet mag verrassen met de rekening. Daarom werken we met vaste vanaf-prijzen die we aan de telefoon noemen en die we aan de deur bevestigen voordat we beginnen. Geen 'extra technieken'-toeslag halverwege, geen plotselinge nachttoeslag waar geen sprake van was, geen meerprijs omdat 'het slot complexer bleek dan verwacht'. Wat we afspreken is wat u betaalt.
Onze tarieven zijn opgebouwd uit een arbeidsdeel en een materiaaldeel. Het arbeidsdeel wordt bepaald door de complexiteit van de klus en het tijdstip (overdag, avond of nacht). Het materiaaldeel hangt af van het type cilinder of meerpuntsslot dat u kiest. Voor de meeste standaardsituaties hebben we vaste pakketprijzen, zodat u niet door alle bedragen heen hoeft te rekenen.
Voor zakelijke klanten en VvE's bieden we onderhoudscontracten met all-in maandtarieven. Dat heeft als voordeel dat u jaarlijks weet wat u uitgeeft aan mechanische beveiliging en dat spoedhulp binnen contract afgehandeld wordt zonder steeds een nieuwe offerte. Vraag naar onze zakelijke voorwaarden.
Wat is wel en niet bij de prijs inbegrepen
Bij een spoedopening is het arbeidsdeel inclusief: aanrijden binnen Amsterdam, diagnose, schadevrije opening met alle benodigde technieken, een korte check of het slot na opening nog goed werkt, en de factuur per e-mail. Niet inbegrepen: nieuwe cilinders of mechanieken (als u kiest voor directe vervanging), het invliegen van sleutels uit het buitenland, of speciale gereedschappen voor zeldzame slottypes (die zelden voorkomen).
Bij een cilindervervanging is het arbeidsdeel inclusief: demonteren van het oude slot, monteren van de nieuwe cilinder, afstellen, drie geregistreerde sleutels, een korte uitleg over de juiste manier van smering en onderhoud, en de factuur per e-mail. Niet inbegrepen: de cilinder zelf (vanaf circa 35 euro voor basis SKG**, vanaf circa 65 euro voor SKG*** met anti-kerntrek), extra sleutels boven de drie inbegrepen exemplaren, of een nieuwe rozet als de bestaande beschadigd is.
Voor buiten Amsterdam geldt een kleine voorrijvergoeding die we vooraf noemen. Voor avond- en nachttarief tussen 22:00 en 07:00 geldt een toeslag die we eveneens vooraf noemen; in het weekend overdag geldt het normale tarief zonder toeslag. Geen feestdagentoeslag, geen 'extreem laat in de nacht'-toeslag, geen verborgen kosten.
